This year’s championship, held from 5th to 7th September, attracted a staggering 920 athletes representing 116 countries across the globe. Both male and female athletes participated, showcasing extraordinary talent, physical fitness, and dedication to bodybuilding and fitness. The event drew audiences from around the world, turning the Zayed Sports Complex into a hub of international sports excellence.

During his speech, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that sports provide more than physical benefits. They instill discipline, confidence, and resilience, especially among young people. He noted that by encouraging participation in sports, society can promote a culture of healthy living, physical fitness, and positive lifestyle choices.

He also spoke about the cultural and social impact of international events like this. “Sports bring people together, regardless of nationality, religion, or background,” the Crown Prince said. “They teach values such as respect, tolerance, and understanding, which are vital for building a connected and harmonious society.”

The championship featured a wide range of competitions. Athletes were judged on muscle definition, strength, posture, and performance, highlighting not only physical fitness but also artistry and dedication. Female athletes, in particular, received recognition for their achievements, reflecting the growing role of women in professional sports and fitness.

The closing ceremony was a spectacular event, celebrating the success and hard work of all participants. Winners received awards and accolades for their performance, while all athletes were praised for their commitment and perseverance. H.H. Sheikh Mohammed’s presence reinforced the UAE’s focus on supporting sports at every level, from grassroots programs to international competitions.

Experts and sports enthusiasts noted that events like the IFBB World Championship help strengthen the UAE’s position as a global hub for fitness and bodybuilding competitions. They also provide inspiration to young athletes, encouraging them to take up sports professionally or as a healthy lifestyle choice.

In addition to celebrating athletic achievements, the championship highlighted the importance of sports as a tool for cultural diplomacy. By bringing together athletes from over 100 countries, it offered opportunities for networking, friendship, and international collaboration, while promoting the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and mutual respect.

Overall, the IFBB World Championship was more than a sporting event. It was a celebration of human determination, discipline, and cultural unity. H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi’s remarks reminded everyone that sports have the power to unite people, promote a healthy lifestyle, and inspire the next generation of athletes.

With the UAE continuing to host more international sporting events, the country is solidifying its reputation as a global sports destination, encouraging both residents and visitors to embrace fitness, wellness, and a competitive spirit while fostering cross-cultural friendships.
