These achievements highlight flydubai’s growing success in the aviation industry. The airline has been expanding its network and continuously working on improving the customer experience, both onboard and at the airport. The awards serve as recognition of flydubai’s efforts to bring innovation and better services to its passengers.
Speaking about the airline’s success, Francois Oberholzer said, “We always strive to introduce new ideas and improve the way we serve our passengers. It is an honor to receive these awards, which reflect our hard work and dedication. Over the past year, we have expanded our operations, upgraded our services, and enhanced our customer experience. As our fleet and network grow, we look forward to welcoming more passengers and making travel even more enjoyable. Dubai continues to be a global hub for tourism and aviation, and we are proud to contribute to its success.”
In 2024, flydubai introduced several major upgrades. At the beginning of the year, the airline launched a multimillion-dollar retrofit program to update the cabins of its 25 Next-Generation Boeing 737 aircraft. In October, flydubai opened a special check-in area just for Business Class passengers. Later, in December, it unveiled its brand-new Business Class Lounge at Terminal 2 of Dubai International Airport (DXB).
flydubai also recently reported its strongest financial performance in its 15-year history. The airline achieved a record-breaking profit of AED 2.5 billion (USD 674 million) for the year ending December 31, 2024.
Currently, flydubai operates a fleet of 88 Boeing 737 aircraft and serves more than 130 destinations across 55 countries. With its rapid growth and commitment to service excellence, the airline continues to make its mark in the aviation industry.
