Etihad A380 to Begin Abu Dhabi–Tokyo Flights in Summer 2026

Etihad Airways will operate its A380 aircraft between Abu Dhabi International Airport and Tokyo’s Narita Airport starting 16th June 2026, just in time for the busy summer travel season.

The A380 is renowned for its luxury, including the world’s only three-room suite in the sky, offering passengers a premium flying experience to Japan.

Arik De, Etihad’s Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, said the airline is responding to strong customer demand for additional seats to Japan. He added that the A380 is ideal for this route, given the importance of business travel between the UAE and Japan, two countries with strong economic and cultural ties.

The additional capacity also provides more options for Japanese travelers visiting Abu Dhabi, either as a stopover or as a destination to explore.

Tokyo joins Etihad’s A380 network alongside London, Paris, Toronto, and Singapore. Flights are now open for booking, giving travelers the chance to experience the airline’s luxury services.
