Empower, the world’s largest provider of district cooling services, has announced a new agreement to supply environmentally friendly cooling to the Palm Gateway project in Palm Jumeirah, Dubai. The cooling system, with a total capacity of 9,470 refrigeration tons (RT), is set to begin operations in the second quarter of 2026. This move supports Dubai's goal to become a more sustainable city by using energy-efficient solutions.
Palm Gateway is a luxurious development that consists of three tall residential towers connected. The towers are designed with a unique architectural style and offer a wide range of modern amenities. These include shopping areas, restaurants, fitness centers, healthcare facilities, and more, making it one of the most lively and comfortable places to live in Dubai. The towers also have large glass windows that offer stunning views of Palm Jumeirah and the beautiful skyline of Dubai.

Ahmad Bin Shafar, the CEO of Empower, shared that the addition of Palm Gateway to their list of clients shows the trust real estate developers and customers have in Empower's reliable services. He explained that Empower is focused on delivering top-quality cooling solutions that use up to 50% less energy than regular cooling systems. This focus on energy-saving technology is in line with Dubai’s mission to reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainability.
