Emirates Flight Training Academy (EFTA) has partnered with Egnatia Aviation, a top-flight school in Greece. This is a big step for EFTA as it plans to get approval from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) by 2025.

EASA certification is very important for pilots. It is needed to fly planes in Europe or work for European airlines. This certification helps pilots get great jobs around the world.

To get an EASA license, cadets need to do extra training called Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (ME/IR). This training must be done in a European flight school. With this new partnership, EFTA’s cadets can now complete this training at Egnatia Aviation in Greece.

When cadets finish their training at EFTA, they will get two licenses: a GCAA license and an EASA license. Once EFTA gets EASA approval, the academy will add EASA courses to its training program.

This partnership is a big chance for EFTA to grow and attract more students from around the world. It will also help meet the global demand for pilots.

Captain Abdulla Al Hammadi, Divisional Vice President of EFTA, said, “This partnership is an important step for us. With EASA certification and our world-class facilities, we can train more pilots to meet the global need. Our location in Dubai, a major aviation hub, makes this an exciting opportunity for future pilots.”

George Triantafyllidis, Chief Commercial Officer of Egnatia Aviation, said, “Cadets can start the EASA course in 2025. By 2026, they will finish their training with us in Greece. They will graduate with excellent skills and be ready to work in the aviation industry.”
