Dubai's DEWA Unveils Second Infrastructure Manual

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has unveiled the latest iteration of its Infrastructure NOC (No-Objection Certificate) Technical Manual. This comprehensive guide serves as a vital resource for accredited contractors, consultants, and developers, aligning with DEWA's mission to streamline business practices in the Emirate.

The manual, now in its second edition, stands as a cornerstone of DEWA's commitment to bolstering business endeavors. It streamlines the process of acquiring electricity and water services, adhering to the highest international standards in terms of reliability, quality, and efficiency.

This updated edition introduces 17 new project types, expanding the total to 67 projects covered. Notably, it encompasses specific standards for water assets and incorporates updated technical specifications and protection details for new electricity assets.

DEWA further enhances the experience for consultants and contractors by offering a suite of innovative programs and services. These include the Al Namoos service, the Marafeq smart feature, and the Ownek awareness initiative, designed to enrich their engagement. Moreover, transactions can be seamlessly conducted through DEWA's smart application or website, eliminating the need for physical visits to customer service centers.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, DEWA's Managing Director and CEO, emphasized the organization's dedication to keeping pace with Dubai's economic growth and population surge. He highlighted DEWA's support for Dubai Economic Agenda D33, aimed at doubling the Emirate's economy in the next decade and solidifying its stature among the world's top three cities.
