Dubai has been named the cleanest city in the world again. This is the fifth year in a row that Dubai has won this title. The Global Power City Index (GPCI) by the Mori Memorial Foundation in Japan gave Dubai this honor, showing how much the city cares about cleanliness.

Dubai got a perfect score of 100% for cleanliness. It is the top city, beating over 47 other cities. This shows Dubai is serious about keeping the city clean and green.
This success comes from the hard work of Dubai Municipality. They work with other groups to make plans that help keep the city clean. One of these plans is the Dubai Integrated Garbage Management Strategy 2041. This plan aims to recycle all trash and cut down waste by 18% by the year 2041.
Dubai Municipality wants to make the city more beautiful and improve life for everyone who lives and works there. Dubai dreams of being the best city in the world to live and work in.
Marwan bin Ghalita, the Acting Director General of Dubai Municipality, said that Dubai’s goal of being the best place to live and work helps push the city to improve. He also said that Dubai’s success shows the UAE leaders’ vision. He added, “Success comes from teamwork and hard work. Dubai’s success shows other cities how to grow and be better.”
Bin Ghalita also praised the work of more than 3,200 cleaning workers. They have helped keep the city clean for five years in a row. He said that it is important for the public, private groups, and the community to all work together to keep the city clean.
Dubai Municipality uses 855 vehicles, like trucks and cleaning machines, to keep the city clean all year. These vehicles help clean the roads, public areas, and neighborhoods.
Every day, the Municipality cleans many parts of the city. They clean 2,400 kilometers of roads, 1,419 square kilometers of business areas, and 33.4 kilometers of canals. They also clean markets, homes, and other public spaces. They remove abandoned cars, take away old furniture, and deal with medical and dangerous waste.
