Dubai Maritime Authority Drives Growth in Luxury Marine Tourism

Dubai Maritime Authority (DMA) is taking big steps to make Dubai a top destination for luxury sea tourism. The team at DMA, which works under the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, recently held a special workshop with marina representatives from all over the city.

The main goal of this workshop was to talk about how marina services are delivered and find ways to make them better and more unified. This is part of DMA’s plan to support marine tourism and attract more visitors from around the world who enjoy traveling by sea.

DMA wants to make it easier for businesses in the marine sector to grow by simplifying rules and supporting the needs of investors and entrepreneurs. This helps improve Dubai’s image as a leading location for high-end sea travel.

Sheikh Dr. Saeed bin Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, CEO of DMA, spoke about the importance of working closely with marina operators. He said that building strong partnerships with private companies is key to finding new and smart ways to grow. He also thanked the marinas for their role in shaping this shared vision.

During the workshop, the group discussed important topics like passenger pick-up and drop-off services at marinas, how long these services should take, and what kind of paperwork is needed. They also looked at ways to improve communication using mobile apps and digital tools. These tools will make it easier for sea travelers to connect with marina services quickly and smoothly.

DMA also shared some of the new digital services they are working on. These are designed to make things more secure, faster, and better for both marinas and their customers. Special attention was given to improving services like “Passenger Pick-up/Drop-off” and “Dock & Dine,” making sure people know what steps to follow and how long the process should take.

The session ended with a Q&A where attendees shared ideas and suggestions. These will help improve the overall quality and readiness of Dubai’s maritime services for the many visitors expected in the future.
