Dubai International Chamber, one of the three entities under the Dubai Chambers umbrella, recently hosted an impactful 'In Focus' event aimed at unveiling expansion opportunities for Dubai-based businesses in Tanzania and Uganda. The event, which drew over 100 representatives from various private sector companies in Dubai, provided a platform to explore and enhance cross-border trade and investment prospects between Dubai and these two East African nations.

The session was marked by a series of presentations and interactive panel discussions featuring expert speakers who shared insights on the economic landscapes of Tanzania and Uganda. Hassan Al Hashemi, Vice President of International Relations at Dubai Chambers, emphasized the chamber’s commitment to aiding Dubai’s business community in navigating and capitalizing on promising global markets. He noted, “We are dedicated to supporting the expansion and success of Dubai’s businesses in international markets. Today's event is crafted to highlight critical aspects of the economies in Tanzania and Uganda, and to equip participants with valuable insights for business operations and investments in these countries.”

The event showcased Dubai International Chamber’s initiatives to bolster international expansion for Dubai-based companies, focusing specifically on opportunities within Tanzania and Uganda. This included detailed presentations on potential trade and investment opportunities, followed by an interactive panel discussion.

Participants gained access to extensive market intelligence, guidance on business regulations, and support in establishing new branches or forming joint ventures in the target markets. The ‘In Focus’ events are part of the broader 'New Horizons' initiative, which offers Dubai companies tailored trade missions to explore targeted international markets. The initiative provides opportunities to attend industry events and pre-arranged business meetings to uncover investment prospects and forge economic partnerships.

The 'New Horizons' initiative aligns with the strategic objectives of Dubai Chambers and contributes to the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), which aims to double the emirate's economy over the next decade. Through these efforts, Dubai International Chamber continues to support the global expansion of Dubai’s businesses and facilitate successful international ventures.
