Dubai Industrial City is celebrating 20 years of success as a top place for making products and moving goods in the Middle East. This milestone shows how well the government and private companies have worked together to make the region stronger and better.
How It All Began
Dubai Industrial City is part of TECOM Group, which has 10 business areas. It started in November 2004 to help Dubai grow its economy and bring in new ideas for industries. Over time, it has become an important place for making products and supporting businesses in the region.
A Special Celebration
To celebrate 20 years, a grand dinner was held at Jumeirah Emirates Towers. Important leaders and officials attended the event. Guests included people from the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, Emirates Development Bank, and TECOM Group. They talked about how to keep improving the industry and making it even better in the years ahead.
A Place for Many Businesses
Dubai Industrial City is now home to over 1,100 businesses. These include famous companies like Unilever, Maersk, and Al Barakah Dates. In 2024, the number of businesses grew by 11.5%. More than 17,000 people work there, which is 13% more than last year. The number of factories also grew by 16%, with over 350 factories now operating in the area.

Saud Abu Alshawareb, a leader in Dubai Industrial City, said, “Dubai Industrial City was built to make Dubai and the UAE a strong place for manufacturing. For 20 years, we have been helping businesses grow and succeed.”
Working Together for the Future
Dubai Industrial City is also working with Siemens, a big technology company, to help factories improve. They will focus on making factories more modern, saving energy, and creating less waste. Siemens will also teach factory workers new skills and give them tools to make their work easier and better.
Big Investments and New Projects
In the last two years, businesses have invested over AED 2 billion in Dubai Industrial City. This includes new projects like a large medicine factory and other big facilities. This year, Dubai Industrial City added a huge 13.9 million square feet of land for new businesses.
The area is in a perfect location for trade. It is close to Jebel Ali Port, Al Maktoum International Airport, and a new train terminal. There are also special zones for different industries like food, chemicals, and metals. These zones are designed to save resources and protect the environment.
Helping Dubai’s Economy
Manufacturing and moving goods are very important for Dubai’s economy. In 2024, factories added AED 10.6 billion to Dubai’s income, while transport and storage brought in AED 15.85 billion. Dubai Industrial City plays a big part in helping Dubai grow and stay strong.

During its 20th-anniversary event, Dubai Industrial City gave awards to companies and partners who have worked hard and achieved great things. Companies like Unilever and Standard Carpets were praised for their new ideas and success.
