In a major step to strengthen cooperation in the UAE’s civil aviation sector, the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) and the Department of Civil Aviation in Fujairah (DCA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement aims to enhance strategic partnership, improve operational efficiency, and ensure the highest standards of safety and security in aviation.
The MoU was signed by H.E. Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, Director General of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, and H.E. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Salami, Chairman of the Fujairah Civil Aviation Authority.
Under the agreement, both sides will work together through a structured cooperation framework. This includes the exchange of information, data, and expertise, the creation of joint working teams, and the organization of regular meetings to monitor progress, support implementation, and resolve any challenges.
Speaking on the occasion, H.E. Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi said the MoU is an important step toward improving coordination among civil aviation authorities in the UAE. He added that the agreement reflects a shared commitment to development, innovation, and raising safety and efficiency standards. He also emphasized the importance of unified efforts and knowledge sharing to strengthen aviation services in line with the country’s leadership vision.
H.E. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Salami stated that the MoU supports the UAE’s broader vision to maintain leadership in the civil aviation sector. He said the agreement reflects a strong commitment to developing the aviation industry and strengthening its role in supporting sustainable economic growth.
The MoU also focuses on improving compliance with international aviation standards. Through the exchange of expertise and the adoption of modern technologies and best practices, the partnership aims to enhance service quality and increase safety levels across operations.
Both authorities concluded by stating that this MoU marks the beginning of a sustainable strategic partnership that will support national efforts in civil aviation and further strengthen the UAE’s position as a leading global aviation hub.
