Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, also called Dubai Culture, has shared exciting news about winter camps for children. These camps will happen in December at some of Dubai’s special cultural and heritage places. They are for children aged 4 to 14 years. The camps will have two sessions. The first session will be from December 16 to 20, and the second will be from December 23 to 27. These camps are planned to give children fun and interesting ways to learn about art, history, and culture. The aim is to help them grow their skills and explore their creativity.
The Al Shindagha Museum Winter Camp will take children on a journey into the world of archaeology. Here, they will learn how to dig for ancient objects, take care of old artefacts, and understand how experts study historical sites. Children will also enjoy activities like making seal designs that are inspired by history. A special trip to the Jumeirah Archaeological Site will let them see how archaeologists work in real life.

The Etihad Museum Winter Camp will focus on teaching children how to be leaders. The camp is called "Young Leaders: Shaping Tomorrow." In this camp, children will learn teamwork, good communication, and leadership skills. Through fun tasks, they will learn about the UAE’s founding leaders and how they made the country successful. The camp will also teach children about Dubai’s old-style buildings, green energy, space travel, and modern technology.
The Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood Winter Camp will let children enjoy fun activities under the theme "Journey of the Pioneers." In this camp, children will do star mapping, make sundials, and build wooden boats. They will also take part in designing future cities while being inspired by the history of Al Fahidi.
The Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children Winter Camp is focused on creativity. The camp is called "Al Jalila’s Winter Wonders." Here, children can try pottery, painting, acting, and working with clay. These fun activities will help them discover and grow their creative skills.
The Dubai Public Library Winter Camp, called "Little Explorers," will take place at libraries in different parts of Dubai. In this camp, children will do activities like making sculptures, decorating pottery, and painting. They will also learn about the UAE’s national tree, the Ghaf. The camp will have many exciting workshops where children can combine art and science in creative ways.
In all the camps, children will also take part in activities using virtual reality. They will explore space, learn about the weather, and design eco-friendly cities. They will study how light works, experiment with chemicals, and learn about how machines like hydraulics function. These activities are planned to make learning science fun and exciting for kids.
The camps will also include games and challenges, with prizes for the winners. These prizes are to encourage children to take part and enjoy learning.
At the same time, a Second-Hand Book Fair will be held at Al Mankhool Public Library from December 16 to 27. People can buy books at very low prices, starting from just AED 2. The fair will help spread the habit of reading and sharing knowledge with everyone. It will be open on weekdays from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Fridays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
These winter camps are a wonderful chance for children to have fun while learning about art, culture, and science. Dubai Culture has made these programs to help children enjoy their holidays, grow their creativity, and connect with the history and future of Dubai.
