Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three chambers under Dubai Chambers, recently met with the Fruit and Vegetable Traders Business Group to discuss strengthening the sector’s resilience and competitiveness. The meeting focused on ensuring smooth imports from a broader range of markets.
H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, attended the meeting, which explored the priorities of companies in the fruit and vegetable trade. Discussions centered on diversifying sourcing channels, enhancing supply chain resilience, supporting market stability, and improving operational efficiency.
Representatives of the Business Group highlighted Dubai’s strong business environment as a key factor enabling the private sector to adapt to changing conditions. They also praised the government’s efforts and the robust public-private partnership that helps ensure the availability of essential goods.
H.E. Lootah said, “Dubai Chambers is committed to evolving business activities with resilience and efficiency. We work closely with Business Groups and government entities to develop practical solutions that maintain competitiveness and strengthen Dubai’s role in global trade.”
This meeting is part of a broader series of engagements by Dubai Chamber with Business Groups and Business Councils. These efforts aim to monitor current business conditions, anticipate future trends, and support the readiness of all sectors to respond effectively to global developments.
By strengthening private sector participation and supporting Business Groups, Dubai Chamber aims to enhance Dubai’s economic competitiveness, shape regulatory frameworks, and foster sustainable growth across diverse sectors.
