Dubai Launches AI+ Program to Train 50,000 Government Staffx

Digital Dubai has officially launched the AI Workforce Transformation Program (AI+), a large-scale initiative aimed at preparing Dubai’s government workforce for the future of artificial intelligence. The program will train 50,000 government employees to effectively adopt and integrate AI into daily operations and public service delivery.

The initiative is being implemented in collaboration with the Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) and the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence, under the Dubai Future Foundation framework. It reflects Dubai’s long-term vision to accelerate digital transformation across all government entities.

Goal: Building an AI-Driven Government Ecosystem

The AI+ program is designed to strengthen AI literacy across all levels of government employees. It focuses on enabling staff to use AI tools to improve efficiency, enhance decision-making, and deliver smarter public services.

Through structured and role-based learning paths, the program aims to create a workforce capable of designing proactive, data-driven government services that better respond to citizens’ needs.

Leadership Vision Behind the Initiative

H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director General of Digital Dubai, emphasized that government employees are now becoming active contributors in shaping smart services rather than just technology users. He highlighted that the initiative supports Dubai’s transition toward an intelligence-driven government model aligned with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.

DGHR Director General H.E. Abdulla Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi stated that investing in people and future-ready skills, especially AI, is essential to improving government efficiency and innovation.

H.E. Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation, noted that the program strengthens Dubai’s AI ecosystem by turning advanced technologies into practical, high-impact government applications.

The AI+ program includes specialized training paths tailored to different job roles across the government:

• Leadership Track: Focus on AI strategy, global case studies, and policy discussions

• Chief AI Officers Track: Implementation of Dubai’s AI framework with practical workshops

• Products & Services Track: End-to-end guidance from ideation to AI use-case development

• Managers Track: AI adoption in teams, process automation, and resource optimization

• Employee Track: Practical AI skills including prompt engineering, automation, and productivity tools
