The Dallas Cowboys recorded a comfortable 33-16 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football, concluding Week 11 with an important win. The game had emotional significance, being played in honor of Marshawn Kneeland. Despite an early scare when Maxx Crosby strip-sacked Dak Prescott, the Cowboys quarterback bounced back to deliver an excellent performance against a Raiders defense that has struggled under head coach Pete Carroll.
Prescott threw for four touchdowns and 268 passing yards, completing 25 of 33 passes without an interception. The Cowboys’ offense looked sharp, with CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens contributing key plays. Pickens had a standout game, catching nine passes on 11 targets for 144 yards and a touchdown, including a 37-yard catch-and-run showcasing his ability to break tackles and make big plays in open field. Lamb also made several critical catches to support the offense.
On the defensive side, Quinnen Williams impressed in his debut for Dallas, recording 1.5 sacks, four tackles, five QB hits, seven pressures, and a tackle for loss. His dominant performance up front highlighted the potential for a strong pass rush, especially with Micah Parsons unavailable. Williams’ presence gives the Cowboys an extra edge as they look to compete in a tough NFC.
The victory improves Dallas’ record to 4-5-1, setting the stage for a key divisional home game against the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. The team will rely on both the passing game led by Prescott and the emerging defensive talent to challenge top contenders in upcoming weeks.
For Las Vegas, the game was a disappointment, extending their losing record to 2-8. Quarterback Geno Smith struggled to make an impact, continuing a season of inconsistency. Running back Ashton Jeanty, despite a stellar college career, was limited to six carries for seven yards, showing the ongoing challenges for the Raiders’ rushing attack. Offensive coordinator Chip Kelly and the coaching staff face questions as the Raiders rank near the bottom of the league in scoring.
The Cowboys’ win was marked by strong team play and adjustments after early mistakes. The offensive line provided better protection for Prescott after the initial strip-sack, while the running game showed improvement. On defense, the Cowboys managed to contain key Raiders’ threats and applied pressure that limited big plays.
Overall, the game highlighted both the strengths of Dallas’ offense and defense and the weaknesses in the Raiders’ lineup. Prescott’s leadership, Pickens’ breakout performance, and Williams’ defensive debut were central to the Cowboys’ success. Meanwhile, Las Vegas will need to address their offensive struggles and find solutions to improve consistency if they hope to salvage the season.
The Cowboys now look forward to their matchup against the Eagles, hoping to build momentum and potentially climb the NFC standings, while the Raiders will reassess their roster and strategy as the season moves forward.
