Students from CNN Academy Abu Dhabi and some local universities took part in a special lesson on artificial intelligence (AI), taught by Bill Gates. He is a famous tech expert and the head of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. This lesson was part of a series of training sessions by the Creative Media Authority (CMA) in Abu Dhabi.
During the 30-minute session, Gates talked about how AI can help solve big problems, like fighting disease, climate change, and food shortages. The students learned how his foundation is trying to find solutions to help people all over the world.

Becky Anderson, the Managing Editor of CNN Abu Dhabi, hosted the event. She asked Bill Gates questions about how new technology can improve the world. Students also got to hear about how the Gates Foundation works to help people in need.
One of the students, Reem Al Mazrouei, said she was very thankful for the chance to meet Bill Gates and Becky Anderson. She explained that the best part was learning from Becky Anderson about how to prepare for an important interview with an expert.
Since 2011, the Gates Foundation has worked with the UAE to help improve health, fight climate change, and solve other global problems. Bill Gates is also working on projects to provide clean energy and fight pollution.
CNN Academy, which started in Abu Dhabi in 2020, helps students learn important skills for working in journalism. Over 12 weeks, students learn how to write news stories, check facts, and follow the rules of journalism. They also get to work with CNN reporters and other experts in hands-on workshops and online lessons.
