The match was full of ups and downs and both players played very well. Alcaraz was the second seed, and Sinner was the world number one from Italy. At first, Sinner was winning. He took the first set 6-4 and the second set in a close tiebreak 7-6.
But Alcaraz did not give up. He kept fighting and stayed strong. He won the third set 6-4. The fourth set was very close and tough. Alcaraz saved three match points, which means Sinner almost won, but Alcaraz did not let that happen. He won the fourth set in a tiebreak 7-6.
The final set was very tense and both players played carefully. It went to another tiebreak, and Alcaraz won it easily 10-2. The final score was 4-6, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6, 7-6.

The match lasted five hours and 29 minutes, making it the longest final in French Open history. It was also the first time two men born in the 2000s played each other in a major final.
This win gave Alcaraz his fifth Grand Slam title. It also ended Sinner’s 20-match winning streak in big tournaments.
Both Alcaraz and Sinner have been winning most of the big tennis titles lately. This match showed their great skills and strong minds. Alcaraz’s win proves he is one of the best young players in the world.
