Post by: Dr. Amrinder Pal Singh

CABSAT 2024, the premier conference for the broadcast, satellite, and content sectors, is set to revolutionize media and entertainment with its innovative exhibitions and features. Scheduled from May 21 to 23, 2024, at the Dubai World Trade Centre, this latest edition of CABSAT promises innovative hall experiences for all attendees, showcasing cutting-edge technologies and diverse content offerings shaping the future of the entertainment landscape.

According to a PwC study, AI is anticipated to contribute up to USD 15.7 trillion to the global economy by 2030. The Grand View Research also reports exceptional growth projections for the global AI in media & entertainment market, estimating it at USD 14.81 billion in 2022 with an expected compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 26% from 2023 to 2030. With more than 450 exhibitors and over 18,000 expected visitors, CABSAT is poised to support this growth, offering an ideal setting for networking, career advancement, and staying abreast of industry developments. This year’s event will present a wide range of exhibitions and features providing detailed insights into the latest advancements in the media industry.

The Co-Production Salon at CABSAT is dedicated to facilitating business opportunities to drive investments in Arabic content and attract foreign film and TV projects to the MEASA region. Last year's session successfully facilitated over 350 targeted co-production and content partnership meetings, resulting in significant deals reaching USD 8 million in total investments. This year, with over 250 companies applying for admittance, the session is expected to have even greater reach among MENA stakeholders.

The Content Congress will gather professionals from the media, broadcast, and technology sectors to analyze trends and explore ideas impacting the content lifecycle. Additionally, the Virtual Production Studio demo will provide filmmakers with guidance on working with virtual sets in various productions.

Participants can also tour Dubai Studio City, the region’s largest media, entertainment, and broadcasting hub, and the Strategic Partner of CABSAT 2024. The SATExpo Summit will unite regional and global satellite and space technology industry influencers, while CABSAT TV and Podcast will offer detailed discussions, conversations with creators, and interviews with industry leaders.

With over 450 exhibiting companies, 120 exhibiting countries, and 150 speakers, CABSAT 2024 is poised to be an influential platform for stakeholders, solidifying its position as the region's largest gathering for the media, broadcast, and satellite industries.
