Sunny Deol’s film Border 2 remains a box office champ, eclipsing ₹213 crore within six days of its release in India. Launched on January 23, the movie has maintained a stellar performance even on ordinary weekdays.
The film kicked off with a robust ₹30 crore on day one, followed by an impressive ₹36.5 crore on Saturday, marking the highest single-day collection to date. The following Sunday saw a near 50% surge, bringing in ₹54.7 crore and quickly entering the elite ₹100 crore club.
On Republic Day Monday, the flick recorded its top earnings, raking in ₹59 crore. It maintained strong footfall with ₹20 crore on Tuesday and ₹13 crore on Wednesday, showcasing the film’s unstoppable word-of-mouth momentum and solid audience loyalty, despite no ticket discounts.
Border 2 has garnered tremendous enthusiasm in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, with audiences flocking to cineplexes in droves. This significant backing from smaller regions has been pivotal to its box office triumph.
The film has outstripped the opening weekend figures of numerous major releases, reaffirming Sunny Deol’s stardom and the swelling appetite for quality action films in India. With its continued stellar performance, Border 2 is on track to shatter even more records in the near future.
