Expand North Star 2024 Drives Innovation in AI, Deep Tech, and Global Collaboration
Dubai, UAE – 15 October 2024: Expand North Star 2024, the world’s largest startup and investment event, continued to push the boundaries of innovation on its third day at Dubai Harbour. With a focus on Applied AI and Deep Tech, the event has highlighted revolutionary technologies that are transforming industries and addressing global challenges.

AI and Deep Tech Advancements in Healthcare and Space
Day three showcased next-generation breakthroughs in robotics, AI, and deep tech. Notable startups like China’s RoboCT introduced their UGo Rehab Exoskeleton, designed to aid patients with lower-limb dysfunctions and other conditions. According to RoboCT’s CEO, Dr. Tian Wang, the exoskeleton integrates advanced sensors and data analysis, enabling patients to rehabilitate more effectively at home.
In digital health, JADE unveiled a platform for neurodivergent children, offering personalized care based on cognitive data. Meanwhile, India’s scanO introduced the world’s first contactless AI-powered robotic system for oral health screening, enhancing early detection of diseases.
Mauritian company Triggers-Reports showcased its Triggers-sat satellite platform, which provides high-resolution imaging and 3D modeling for natural resource management and climate disaster monitoring.
International Participation from Asia and Latin America
The event highlighted the growing global interest, with countries like Brazil and Singapore showcasing their tech prowess. Brazil, represented by ApexBrasil, expanded its presence with 45 startups, focusing on fintech, Deep Tech, AI, and climate solutions. Singapore’s SGTech emphasized cross-border collaboration, with six companies exhibiting cutting-edge technologies.
Africa’s Rising Tech Ecosystem
African innovation was also a focal point, with leaders such as H.E. Savannah Maziya of Eswatini and Olatunbosun Alake from Lagos, Nigeria, discussing the role of education in driving economic growth. Africa’s burgeoning tech ecosystems are fostering a new generation of entrepreneurs, attracting global tech giants like Microsoft.
As the event continues, defining summits like GITEX Impact and Fintech Surge further demonstrate the impact of emerging technologies on reshaping industries and societies.
