To get this award, the zoo had to pass many checks. Experts came to the zoo and looked at everything — how animals are treated, how safe the place is for visitors and workers, how clean it is, how the doctors care for animals, and how the zoo teaches people about nature. They also looked at how the zoo helps save water, trees, and animals in the wild.
AZA is a group from outside the country that gives this award only to the best zoos and aquariums in the world. They only choose places that follow the best ways to care for animals and the earth.
Eng. Ahmed Eisa Al Harasi, the leader of Al Ain Zoo, said, “We are very happy about this award. It shows that we work hard to care for animals and keep nature safe. Our team does an amazing job every day. We want visitors to enjoy the zoo and also learn why animals and nature are important.”
Dr. Amna Mana Alotaiba, who works with the animals at the zoo, said, “This award shows that our plans and daily work are going well. Our team includes people who love animals and work hard to make sure they live in a good and healthy home. We are proud to be one of the few zoos in the world to get this award.”
Al Ain Zoo is one of the top places to visit in the UAE. It is a safe home for many kinds of animals. The zoo also teaches visitors, young and old, how to take care of nature and respect all living things. With this award, Al Ain Zoo becomes even more known as one of the best zoos in the world.
