Al Ain Run Challenge 2025 at Hazza Stadium

The Al Ain Community Run Challenge will take place on May 4, 2025, at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain. The event is organized under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in Al Ain Region. This run is part of a series of community events that focus on encouraging people to stay fit and active while bringing together people from all walks of life.

The event is hosted by the Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural Center, in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council. The goal is to promote regular exercise and make sports a part of everyday life. The organizers want to create a safe and welcoming space where everyone can enjoy being active, no matter their age or fitness level.

The Al Ain Community Run Challenge is open to everyone, and there are different race distances to suit all abilities. Participants can choose from the following race options:

• 10km race at 7:00 am

• 5km race at 7:05 am

• 2.5km race at 7:10 am

• 1km race at 7:30 am

Registration will stay open until the maximum number of participants is reached. Over 1,000 runners are expected to join the event, with people from all over the community, including families, amateur athletes, and People of Determination.

To make the event more exciting and encourage people to do their best, there will be cash prizes for the top finishers in each category. Everyone who finishes the race will also receive a medal and a gift. The aim of the event is to create a culture where people are motivated to stay active, and where sports are seen as an important part of daily life.

Sheikha Dr Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Institutions, said, “The Al Ain Community Run Challenge, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is an event for everyone. We want to inspire people to make sports a regular part of their lives. Sports not only help us stay fit, but they also make us stronger mentally, help us connect with others, and improve our overall well-being. This event is part of our goal to build a healthier society and create a better future for everyone.”

His Excellency Aref Hamad Al Awani, the General Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, shared, “We are proud to support the Al Ain Community Run Challenge under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who has always supported sports in the UAE. This event is part of our effort to get more people involved in sports and show how important physical activity is for a healthy lifestyle. We hope to see a great turnout and a lot of enthusiasm from the community.”

The Al Ain Community Run Challenge reflects Sheikha Dr Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan’s ongoing support for the community. It also fits perfectly with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council’s mission to encourage healthy living and physical activity. This event is one of many ways to improve the quality of life for people in Al Ain and across Abu Dhabi, and it supports long-term sports development in the region.
