Abu Dhabi is gearing up to host the NBE Egyptian Super Cup 2024 from October 20 to 24. This event is organized by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council in collaboration with the United Sports Company and the UAE and Egyptian Football Associations. The tournament marks the second year of a partnership that will see the Egyptian Super Cup, in its new format, held in the UAE capital for four consecutive years. Last year, the title was claimed by Al Ahly.
Teams including Al Ahly, Ceramica Cleopatra, Pyramids, and Zamalek are scheduled to arrive in Abu Dhabi on October 17. They will engage in sub-training sessions on October 18, with official training sessions occurring the day before the semifinals on October 19. Additional training will be held on October 21 and 22, while final preparations will take place on October 23 before the third-place playoff and final match.

The competition will kick off on October 20, with Al Ahly facing Ceramica Cleopatra at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium at 9 PM UAE time. Earlier that day, Zamalek will take on Pyramids at Al Nahyan Stadium at 5:05 PM. The final match will take place on October 24 at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium, starting at 9 PM, while the third and fourth place match will be held at Al Nahyan Stadium at 5:05 PM.
His Excellency Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, expressed that hosting the NBE Egyptian Super Cup for the second time reflects the strong ties between the UAE and Egypt. He emphasized that this event is a significant part of the council’s efforts to attract important regional, continental, and international sporting events. Al Awani noted, “This upcoming hosting continues our plans to make Abu Dhabi a hub for elite athletes, teams, and global sports leaders.”
He further stated, “We take pride in hosting the NBE Egyptian Super Cup, particularly given the successful outcomes of previous events. We are committed to ensuring that all resources are utilized to achieve organizational success for the Egyptian Super Cup matches and to enhance the prestigious reputation that major events in Abu Dhabi enjoy.”
Engineer Saif Al Waziri, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of United Sports Company, highlighted that the NBE Egyptian Super Cup’s continuation in the UAE is a testament to the strong bonds between Egypt and the UAE. He praised the collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the new tournament format, which has transformed the championship into a premier event featuring the top four Egyptian football teams, all in the context of generous Emirati hospitality.
Al Waziri also noted that the partnership between United Sports Company and the Abu Dhabi Sports Council extends beyond the Super Cup, encompassing activities such as hosting the Egyptian national team for international matches and training camps before significant tournaments. He hinted at additional upcoming initiatives, with details expected to be announced soon, showcasing the ongoing commitment to fostering sports ties between the two nations.
