Abu Dhabi’s smart digital assistant, called TAMM AI, has received big global praise. It was chosen as one of the top five finalists at the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Prizes 2025 in the E-Government category. This award celebrates the use of technology to make government services better for people.

What is TAMM AI Assistant?

TAMM AI Assistant is a smart system made by the Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi (DGE). It is part of Abu Dhabi’s Digital Strategy 2025–2027. The assistant helps people with government services through messages and chats. It works in both Arabic and English.

Since its launch in October 2024, it has handled over 630,000 conversations and more than 1 million messages. People can get help with over 950 services by chatting with TAMM AI.

Abu Dhabi’s Smart Government Plan

The goal is to build the world’s first AI-native government. This means a government that understands what people need, helps them quickly, and gives smooth and easy services. By 2027, the DGE wants to bring in 200 new AI tools to improve government work.

Leaders Speak on the Success

H.E. Ahmed Tamim Hisham Al Kuttab, the Chairman of DGE, said:

“TAMM’s selection shows our strong effort to make a fast, smart and people-focused government. TAMM AI is proof that mixing new ideas with care for people can bring real change.”

H.E. Dr. Mohamed Al Askar, Director General of TAMM, also said:

“Being chosen as a finalist is a big step in our digital plan. It shows how using data and teamwork can make life better for everyone.”

TAMM AI is already helping over 400,000 users. It can solve 95% of problems on its own, which gives human workers more time to handle harder tasks.

What is WSIS?

WSIS is a global prize that rewards smart use of technology to help the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. Winners will be announced at a special event in Geneva, Switzerland, on 8 July 2025.

The UAE has done well at WSIS in the past. It has won awards for digital learning, online safety, smart systems, and public service innovation. This year, TAMM AI is the only finalist from the UAE.

TAMM in Daily Life

Today, TAMM is a big part of life in Abu Dhabi. It helps people quickly access important government services. Its global recognition shows that Abu Dhabi is becoming a world leader in smart digital services.
