The General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs has successfully completed a major project to equip its sea customs centers with cutting-edge inspection devices. This initiative is part of a broader effort to boost the efficiency of customs operations at Abu Dhabi's border ports.

The newly installed devices utilize advanced rapid scan technology and artificial intelligence to streamline operations. This upgrade aims to ensure a smoother flow of shipments, facilitate trade, reduce customs clearance times, and enhance overall customer satisfaction.

A total of five advanced inspection devices have been set up at key customs centers, including Khalifa Port and Zayed Port. The installation includes two devices for scanning bags and parcels and two devices for scanning containers and trucks at Khalifa Port. Additionally, one device for container scanning has been installed at Zayed Port. Each device is capable of processing up to 120 trucks per hour and is integrated with a control room to allow continuous monitoring.

These devices meet the highest standards of radiological health and safety and adhere to international specifications. The project reflects Abu Dhabi Customs' commitment to improving performance efficiency and speeding up inspection processes, which in turn supports the efficient transit of goods, facilitates trade, and promotes sustainable economic development.

His Excellency Mubarak Matar Al Mansoori, Executive Director of the Operations Sector at Abu Dhabi Customs, emphasized that this project builds on the successful implementation of advanced devices at Al Ain's land customs centers earlier this year. Al Mansoori stated, "This project continues our commitment to strengthening the inspection system. We prioritize developing systems that enhance operational efficiency while adhering to the highest safety standards for our employees, customers, and shipments. The integration of advanced technology and artificial intelligence supports our goal of optimizing customs operations and achieving global leadership in our field."

This strategic initiative is part of Abu Dhabi Customs' broader efforts to modernize and enhance the efficiency of its customs operations, aligning with its vision to lead on a global scale.
