As part of the agreement, the MBRF will offer special training programs to ALC members, designed with help from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). These programs will help people improve their skills in different areas. The two groups will also work together on translation projects. Graduates from MBRF’s Translation Program will help with the Kalima Translation Project run by ALC, which works to bring more books into Arabic.
The two groups will also nominate outstanding people from MBRF’s creative programs for ALC’s awards and research grants. This will encourage more Arabic content and creativity. They will also work together on printing and digital publishing, offering services like typesetting, layout, design, and translation, while making sure to meet high international standards.
The agreement was signed in Dubai at MBRF’s headquarters by Dr. Ali bin Tamim, who leads ALC, and Jamal bin Huwaireb, the CEO of MBRF. Dr. bin Tamim said that the partnership will provide new chances for young people to develop their skills in different areas of culture and creativity.
Dr. bin Tamim said, “This partnership will help promote culture and knowledge in the UAE and the Arab world. It will strengthen the Arabic language, helping it become more recognized around the world. We need to work together to create a strong vision to improve the cultural scene and inspire creativity.”
Dr. bin Tamim also mentioned that the partnership fits with ALC’s goal to keep improving Arabic content, helping young people who want to write or work in creative fields, and encouraging future generations to read more Arabic books, explore the arts, and learn about science.
Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of MBRF, said, “We believe that by helping people improve their skills, we can make a big difference. This partnership with ALC will help us focus on developing Emirati talent and work together on translation, creative projects, and producing more Arabic content in both print and online forms. This will help build communities that can adapt and succeed.”
Jamal bin Huwaireb also said, “This agreement shows our shared goal of making Arabic a key tool for cultural and intellectual exchange. It will also help expand projects like Bil Arabi and the Digital Knowledge Centre, which aim to spread knowledge and strengthen Arabic’s place in shaping identity and creativity.”
Under this agreement, the ALC will be able to show its programs at MBRF’s events. MBRF will also share its work at ALC’s events, like book fairs and festivals. The two groups will also work together to improve Arabic content on MBRF’s Digital Knowledge Hub platform, using the knowledge and expertise from ALC.
A new joint program called Knowledge Break will bring talks and discussions hosted by Abu Dhabi as part of MBRF’s events. The agreement will also help improve initiatives like Bel Arabi and Youth Knowledge Forum, which are designed to support the Arabic language and help young Emiratis and Arabs.
This partnership between the two groups will create great chances to grow Arabic culture and help people get involved in creative work. It will help create a positive space for learning and sharing ideas, and allow more people to explore and use the Arabic language in new ways.
