The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre welcomed more than 3.2 million visitors during Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr prayers across its mosques in the UAE, marking one of the busiest seasons in its history.

The highest number of visitors was recorded at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, which alone received 1,695,698 guests, including worshippers, visitors and Iftar guests. The mosque also served a record 980,010 Iftar meals, the highest in its history. In the Al Ain region, the Sheikh Khalifa Grand Mosque welcomed 960,011 guests, while the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque received 507,222 visitors. Meanwhile, the Sheikh Khalifa Grand Mosque recorded 63,172 worshippers during the holy month.

As part of its annual “Our Fasting Guests” initiative, launched in memory of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the centre distributed a total of 2,605,810 Iftar meals across its mosques. The highest share was again recorded in Abu Dhabi, followed by Al Ain and Fujairah, reflecting the growing number of visitors each year.

Religious activities remained a key highlight throughout Ramadan, with Taraweeh and Tahajjud prayers led by a group of renowned imams including Idris Abkar, Yahya Aishan, Alaa Al-Mazjaji, Abdullah Al-Balushi and Abdulbasit Abdulsamad. Their recitations created a spiritual atmosphere for worshippers across all mosques managed by the centre.

To manage the large crowds and ensure smooth services, more than 600 volunteers were deployed, supported by organisations like the Emirates Red Crescent, along with police, paramedics and civil defence teams. The centre also coordinated with over 20 government entities to maintain high standards of service during the holy month.

Alongside religious services, the centre continued its cultural and community efforts by launching new digital content platforms, organising lectures and hosting international participants through programmes like the Bridges initiative. Visitors also took part in cultural tours and enjoyed Ramadan markets and activities within the mosque premises.

Overall, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre successfully delivered a complete Ramadan experience, combining worship, charity, culture and community engagement, while welcoming millions of visitors from across the world.
