4 Labourers Suffocate to Death While Cleaning Water Tank in Mumbai

Mumbai, Sunday – Four workers tragically lost their lives while cleaning a water tank at an under-construction building in Mumbai. The incident happened around 12:30 PM at Bismillah Space, a building located on Dimtimkar Road in the Nagpada area, officials confirmed.

According to reports, the workers entered the tank to clean it but suffocated due to lack of oxygen. When others at the construction site realized what had happened, they immediately informed the fire brigade. Rescuers rushed to the spot and quickly took the workers to JJ Hospital, a government hospital in Mumbai. Sadly, doctors declared them dead upon arrival.

Following the incident, officials from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and the local police reached the site. A police official stated that an investigation is now underway to find out what led to the tragic accident.

This unfortunate incident has once again raised concerns about safety measures for workers at construction sites. Authorities are expected to look into whether proper precautions were taken before the workers entered the tank.
