Kylian Mbappe has confirmed that he has fully recovered from his knee injury and is ready to play a key role for Real Madrid in the final phase of the season.
The 27-year-old forward missed four league matches in 2026 due to a lingering knee problem carried over from last season. However, he made his return on Sunday, coming off the bench in the 64th minute during Madrid’s 3-2 victory over Atletico Madrid.
Speaking to Spanish outlet AS, Mbappe said he is now fully fit and focused on maintaining top form. He emphasized that his preparation for major tournaments always includes regular match play, scoring goals, winning titles, and giving his best for his club.
Mbappe has also been included in the France national football team squad for upcoming international friendlies against Brazil national football team on March 26 and Colombia national football team on March 29. Both matches will take place in the United States, one of the host nations for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, alongside Canada and Mexico.
Looking ahead, France is placed in Group I for the World Cup, where they will face Norway national football team, Senegal national football team, and the winner of an intercontinental playoff.
With his fitness restored, Mbappe aims to play all remaining matches for Real Madrid and reach peak condition ahead of the global tournament.
