Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor created a buzz in Udaipur as they arrived together to attend the high-profile wedding of Netra Mantena, daughter of US-based billionaires Padmaja and Rama Raju Mantena. Their entry at the airport quickly became a moment of attention as fans and photographers gathered in huge numbers to catch a glimpse of the actors. The crowd rush led to a brief moment of chaos, during which Varun instinctively stepped forward to shield Janhvi from the pushing and shoving, guiding her safely toward their waiting vehicle. A video capturing the scene has been circulating widely online, with viewers praising Varun for his chivalrous and protective gesture.
The actors kept their appearance understated yet stylish. Varun sported a mustard-colored jacket layered over a white T-shirt and trousers, while Janhvi kept things chic in a fitted turtleneck paired with dark blue denim. As the crowd swelled, airport ground staff and security personnel stepped in to assist the duo, creating a safe passage through the mob. Many fans took to social media to appreciate Varun’s thoughtful behavior, calling it a genuine display of respect and care.
Their arrival marks the beginning of a star-studded weekend in Udaipur, where high-profile personalities from the Indian film industry are gathering for the wedding festivities. Karan Johar was among those spotted at the airport, opting for a black leather jacket layered over a white T-shirt for the celebratory occasion. The guest list features prominent actors such as Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Ranveer Singh, and Jacqueline Fernandez, turning the wedding into one of the biggest celebrity gatherings of the season.
Inside the celebrations, glimpses from the events have already gone viral. One video shows Janhvi lighting up the dance floor with her performance to the energetic track “Pardesiya” from her recent release. Varun, too, entertained the guests with his hit number “Badri Ki Dulhania,” dressed in a black outfit paired with a vibrant pink jacket. Their performances added to the festive atmosphere and brought fans an extra dose of Bollywood glamour.
The wedding itself is among the most lavish events hosted in Udaipur this year. Netra Mantena, daughter of pharmaceutical billionaire Rama Raju Mantena — chairman and CEO of Ingenious Pharmaceuticals — is tying the knot with Vamsi Gadiraju, co-founder of Superorder. The celebrations have drawn global guests and high-profile names from multiple industries. Spread across four days, the festivities are being held at some of Udaipur’s most luxurious and iconic venues, including City Palace and Jagmandir.
Adding to the wedding’s international profile, superstar performers Jennifer Lopez and Justin Bieber are reportedly scheduled to take the stage, making the event a rare blend of Indian tradition and global entertainment. Donald Trump Jr. is also among the notable international attendees. With celebrities, business tycoons, and global dignitaries flying in, the Mantena–Gadiraju wedding has become an event of significant cultural attention, reflecting both grandeur and exclusivity.
