Dubai, United Arab Emirates :-
The Universal American School (UAS), a member of the Al-Futtaim Education Foundation, is celebrating the close of an achievement-filled academic year as the Class of 2025 delivered outstanding results in both the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and Advanced Placement (AP) examinations.
This year saw 44 students enroll in the IBDP—double the number from 2024—and they achieved results that significantly surpassed global averages in key areas. 5% of students scored above 40 points, with the top-performing student earning 43 points. The average score was 33 points, far exceeding the global average. Moreover, 58% of students received grades A or B in Theory of Knowledge (TOK), and 42% achieved grades A or B in the Extended Essay (EE). Additionally, 66% of students earned the full two bonus points from the core components. Notably, 37% of diploma recipients were awarded the Bilingual Diploma, through studies in Arabic (A) and English (A) Literature and Language, including the School-Supported Self-Taught (SSST) program—one of the highest bilingual diploma rates in the school’s history.
In parallel, UAS students also achieved the strongest AP results in school history. A record-breaking 92 students took a total of 194 AP exams—more than ever before. Among them, 74% scored 3 or above, including a perfect 100% pass rate in Pre-Calculus and 70% in Human Geography.
The school also celebrated 18 exams earning the highest score of 5, achieved by 13 students—several of whom earned a score of 5 in all three AP subjects they attempted. The AP Computer Science A course particularly stood out, with 43% of students earning a score of 5, showcasing their readiness for university-level studies.
These achievements highlight the continuous progress and academic excellence of UAS’s advanced curriculum.
Thanks to these exceptional outcomes, the Class of 2025 is now preparing to join some of the world’s top universities, well-equipped for the next chapter in their academic and personal journeys.
Commenting on the results, Kevin Loft, Director of the Universal American School, said:
“These results are the culmination of years of dedicated effort, intellectual curiosity, and personal growth. They are a collective achievement and a source of true pride for our entire school community.”
Tracy Cummins, Deputy Director of UAS, added:
“These results go beyond academic excellence—they are the product of daily perseverance and demonstrate how every small step contributes to major accomplishments. Behind every score lies a network of support—teachers who guided, families who encouraged, and peers who motivated one another. True achievement is born from collaboration.”
Rachel Bartlett, IBDP Coordinator at UAS, praised the students’ discipline and commitment:
“I am incredibly proud of this cohort. Over two full years, they have shown remarkable dedication and focus, while also supporting one another. They faced every challenge with maturity and composure.”
Philip Berry, Head of Secondary School, added:
“These outcomes reflect countless hours of study, deep thought, and the students’ tangible personal commitment. The support from parents and teachers at every stage has laid the solid foundation on which these successes were built.”
UAS continues to foster a supportive learning environment that prepares students to thrive and tackle future challenges. The Class of 2025 has demonstrated exceptional academic distinction, along with the values and personal attributes that define the identity of UAS graduates.
