Today's weather forecast, provided by the National Centre of Meteorology, anticipates partly cloudy conditions evolving into cloudier skies by nightfall and Saturday morning, particularly in coastal and western regions of the UAE. Alongside this transition, there's a likelihood of rainfall, coupled with a gradual uptick in temperatures. Notably, the NCM has issued red and yellow alerts for specific areas, indicating potential hazards. These alerts primarily highlight regions where visibility may significantly decrease.
Residents are advised to remain vigilant, particularly until 9 am today, due to the anticipated lowered visibility. The Abu Dhabi Police have emphasized caution to motorists, urging them to adapt their driving to reduced visibility caused by fog. Electronic information boards will display altered speed limits, and motorists are urged to adhere to these changes.
Furthermore, speed limits have been reduced to 80 km/hr on several roads within Abu Dhabi emirate, including Abu Dhabi - Al Ain road (Rimah - Al Sad), Al Taf road (Sweihan - Al Faya), Sweihan road (Nahil - Al Hiyar), and (Al Bada - Nahil) Road, as well as Dubai - Al Ain road (Masaken - Al Faqaa).
Later in the day and into Saturday morning, humidity levels are expected to rise in some internal areas, while light to moderate winds will prevail, occasionally freshening. Sea conditions are forecasted to be moderate to slight in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.
Temperatures are anticipated to range from a low of 13ºC in internal areas to a high of 37ºC.
