The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has strongly condemned a violent attack that happened in Chad this week. The attack targeted a military site in the Lake Chad region and sadly led to the deaths of at least 15 people, including nine Chadian soldiers.
In an official statement, the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the country completely rejects all acts of terrorism and violence. The ministry described the attack as a "heinous and cowardly" act and stressed that such actions only create fear and hurt efforts to bring peace and security to the region.

The UAE offered heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and expressed deep sympathy for the government and people of Chad during this difficult time.
Chadian officials confirmed that the assault was an attempt to break through a key border zone. This area, known as the Lake Chad basin, has faced ongoing problems with security due to attacks by armed groups like Boko Haram and ISWAP, which are known for their violent actions in the region.
The UAE’s message is clear: it stands against terrorism and supports global efforts to bring safety, peace, and stability to troubled regions like Lake Chad.
