UAE rulers send condolences to King Salman on Saudi Grand Mufti’s passing

The rulers of the Emirates have expressed their deep sorrow and extended heartfelt condolences to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, following the passing of Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Al-Shaikh, the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia and Chairman of the Council of Senior Scholars.

Condolence messages were sent individually by Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah; Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman; Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Ruler of Fujairah; Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain; and Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.

The UAE leaders praised the late Grand Mufti for his lifelong commitment to serving Islam, guiding scholars, and strengthening the values of faith and unity across the Muslim world. They highlighted his role as a respected religious authority whose contributions left a lasting impact in Saudi Arabia and beyond.

Along with the Rulers, Crown Princes and Deputy Rulers of the Emirates also sent similar condolence messages to King Salman, reaffirming the UAE’s solidarity with the leadership and people of Saudi Arabia during this time of grief.

Sheikh Abdulaziz Al Al-Shaikh, who held the position of Grand Mufti for decades, was widely recognized for his scholarship and efforts in guiding the Muslim community. His passing marks the end of an era of religious leadership in the Kingdom.
