UAE Ministry of Investment Hosts UAE-Norway Forum in Oslo Visit

During the official visit of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, to Norway, the UAE Ministry of Investment hosted the UAE-Norway Investment Forum in Oslo. This event aimed to strengthen economic ties between the two nations and attract investments.

The forum gathered senior officials, investors, and entrepreneurs from diverse sectors in both countries, showcasing a range of investment opportunities and emphasizing the UAE's business-friendly environment. It focused on the incentives provided by the UAE’s dynamic business ecosystem, encouraging Norwegian and international companies to view Abu Dhabi and the UAE as a strategic hub for expanding their operations into Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa. This aligns with the evolving global economic landscape increasingly driven by knowledge and innovation across key sectors.

Discussions during the forum highlighted the necessity of enhancing economic, trade, and investment relations between the UAE and Norway across sectors of national importance. Participants pointed out the UAE's competitive advantages, such as its strategic location that links global markets, advanced infrastructure, and a legislative framework designed to attract top global talent. The forum emphasized the UAE's commitment to offering key incentives for investors.

In his welcoming address, His Excellency Mohammed Hassan Alsuwaidi, UAE Minister of Investment, underscored the importance of transitioning to sustainable, knowledge-based economic models. He noted that the UAE's economic vision is in harmony with Norway’s emphasis on sustainable growth, revenue diversification, and fostering an innovation-driven economy. Among the other speakers were senior Norwegian officials, including His Excellency Espen Barth Eide, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and His Excellency Tomas Norvoll, State Secretary of the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Fisheries.

The UAE-Norway Investment Forum also featured insightful panel discussions with senior officials and representatives from leading Norwegian companies like Equinor, Yara, and Aker ASA, alongside major UAE firms such as ADNOC, Masdar, and AD Ports Group. These discussions provided a platform for sharing expertise and exploring collaborative ventures that could benefit both nations. 

Overall, the forum served as a vital platform for forging deeper economic ties and exploring new avenues for investment, reinforcing the UAE's position as a key player in the global market.
