The third edition of the Remarkable Emirati Women (REW) event brought Abu Dhabi to life as more than 700 leaders, professionals and changemakers gathered under one roof with a shared focus on impact, purpose and progress. Held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Mother of the Nation, the summit reflected the growing role of Emirati women across national, regional and global spheres.
This year’s edition, themed Unleash Your Impact, highlighted how Emirati women are shaping the UAE’s future through leadership, resilience and community contribution. The event was attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan as Guest of Honour, who took part in honouring 62 graduates from the second cohort of the Emirati Women Chapter programme. The programme, a joint initiative by the General Women’s Union and PureHealth, focuses on mentorship, leadership skills and professional development for Emirati women.
The opening of the summit carried strong messages of encouragement and pride, reflecting the long-standing support of the UAE’s leadership for women’s advancement. The gathering celebrated Emirati women not only for professional achievements, but also for their role in building strong families and communities, reinforcing their position as a cornerstone of national development.
A key focus of the day was the idea of meaningful impact without unrealistic expectations. Discussions explored leadership, mental wellbeing and sustainability, with attention drawn to the pressures faced by women striving to balance ambition with personal health. The conversation resonated with many attendees, as it acknowledged that real progress is built on consistency, support and shared responsibility, rather than constant perfection.
The summit also paid tribute to the legacy of Emirati women from the nation’s early generations, recognising their role in transforming challenges into opportunities and laying the foundation for today’s achievements. This sense of continuity connected past efforts with the ambitions of a new generation determined to lead with purpose.
Organised by the General Women’s Union and the Supreme Council for Motherhood & Childhood, in collaboration with PureHealth, the event served as a national platform for dialogue and connection. Key figures from government, healthcare, education, business and social sectors took part in panels and sessions that examined leadership, wellbeing and community impact.
The ceremony also marked the opening of registration for the third cohort of the Emirati Women Chapter programme, which will welcome 100 new members. This step signals the continued expansion of a platform that has become central to supporting Emirati women as leaders, innovators and changemakers.
As the summit concluded, the atmosphere reflected confidence and momentum. The 2025 edition of Remarkable Emirati Women reinforced a clear message: Emirati women are not only shaping today’s progress but are also defining the direction of the UAE’s future through sustained impact and collective strength.
