UAE Welcomes US-Iran Talks in Oman, Backs De-escalation

The United Arab Emirates has welcomed the ongoing talks between the United States and Iran taking place in Oman, saying the discussions reflect continued efforts to promote dialogue and reduce tensions in the region.

In an official statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) expressed appreciation for Oman’s role in creating an environment supportive of diplomacy. The UAE praised the Sultanate for hosting the consultations, calling it a constructive step that strengthens mutual understanding at both regional and international levels, while supporting regional security and stability.

The UAE also reaffirmed its belief that dialogue and de-escalation remain the best way to address current regional challenges. It highlighted that respecting international law and the sovereignty of states is essential, and stressed its commitment to resolving differences through diplomatic means.

The statement added that the UAE hopes the US-Iran consultations will lead to positive outcomes, help ease tensions, strengthen security and stability in the region, and contribute to regional and international peace.
