UAE Ambassador Meets Ecuador Minister to Boost Cooperation

Ibrahim Salem Al Alawi, Non-Resident Ambassador of the UAE to the Republic of Ecuador, met with Gabriela Sommerfeld, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility of Ecuador, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Quito. The meeting was aimed at strengthening the diplomatic ties and expanding cooperation between the two countries in multiple fields.

During the meeting, Ambassador Al Alawi conveyed the greetings of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, to Minister Sommerfeld. He also extended his wishes for continued progress and prosperity for Ecuador and its people. In return, Minister Sommerfeld sent her greetings to H.H. Sheikh Abdullah and wished continued prosperity and growth for the UAE and its citizens.

The two officials discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between the UAE and Ecuador. They highlighted the importance of fostering closer diplomatic, cultural, and economic ties, creating a platform for more frequent dialogue and cooperation on regional and international matters. Both sides emphasised the need to develop relations that serve the long-term interests of their countries.

A key topic of discussion was the promotion of economic cooperation, including trade and investment opportunities. The UAE and Ecuador explored avenues to increase business collaborations and partnerships, encouraging private sector engagement in mutually beneficial projects. The talks focused on identifying areas where joint ventures and economic initiatives could contribute to the prosperity of both nations.

The meeting also addressed ways to strengthen cooperation across areas of mutual interest, including technology, education, tourism, and sustainable development. Both sides recognized that enhanced collaboration would help achieve shared goals and improve the well-being of their citizens. The discussions reflected a strong commitment to nurturing practical and strategic partnerships.

Ambassador Al Alawi and Minister Sommerfeld agreed on the importance of maintaining continuous communication to monitor progress and develop new initiatives. Both sides expressed optimism about expanding diplomatic and economic relations and committed to working together to achieve tangible results in the near future.

The UAE and Ecuador reaffirmed their dedication to building a strong and lasting partnership. Both nations look forward to implementing new projects and enhancing ties in the coming years.
