A 67-year-old Syrian expatriate residing in Al Ain has made headlines after winning $1 million in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire draw held on Wednesday. Ali Akram Arabo, who has called Al Ain home for over 35 years, has been a consistent participant in the Dubai Duty Free promotions for more than 15 years. As a father of three, he currently works for a private contracting company in Al Ain.
Arabo's victory marks him as the tenth Syrian national to claim a win in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire promotion since its launch in 1999, showcasing the draw's appeal among expatriates in the region.
Following the Millennium Millionaire draw, the Dubai Duty Free also conducted the Finest Surprise draw, which included luxury vehicles and motorbikes.

Among the winners was Rajiv Lakhotia, a 50-year-old Indian national residing in Hyderabad, India, who won a stunning Mercedes Benz AMG GT 43. Lakhotia, a father of two, is a frequent participant in Dubai Duty Free promotions and operates a manufacturing business.
Another notable winner, Jothibhasu Madhavan, a 55-year-old Indian national living in Sharjah, walked away with a luxurious Mercedes Benz S500. Madhavan, who has been participating in the promotions for five years, is also a father of two and runs his own printing press.
In addition, Shihabudeen M., an Indian national based in Dubai, won a BMW R 1250 RS motorbike, while Saidu Mohamed, a 55-year-old Indian national living in Zarqa, Jordan, secured a BMW S 1000 RR motorbike. Mohamed has been a participant in the Dubai Duty Free promotions for the last six months and is a father of three, working as a commercial manager for a garment manufacturing company in Dulayl.
The Dubai Duty Free draws continue to generate excitement among expatriates and residents alike, offering life-changing prizes and a chance to fulfill dreams.
