Sheikh Mansoor Meets Emir of Kuwait Ahead of GCC Olympic Committees Summit

His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait, welcomed His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the President of the UAE National Olympic Committee, in Kuwait today. Sheikh Mansoor was in the country to attend the 37th meeting of the Presidents of the Olympic Committees from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

Sheikh Mansoor and his delegation were warmly received by Sheikh Meshal at Bayan Palace in Kuwait’s capital. The Emir expressed his respect and appreciation for the UAE's leadership, government, and people. He also highlighted the strong friendship and close relationship between the people of Kuwait and the UAE.

Sheikh Mansoor, on his part, expressed how happy he was to visit Kuwait and thanked the Emir and the people of Kuwait for their warm welcome and kind hospitality.

During their meeting, Sheikh Mansoor also passed on warm greetings to the Emir from His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. He conveyed their best wishes for the Emir’s health and happiness, as well as the continued progress and prosperity of Kuwait and its people.

Sheikh Mansoor was accompanied by a few officials, including His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, the Minister of Sport and Vice President of the UAE National Olympic Committee, His Excellency Dr. Matar Hamed Al Neyadi, the UAE Ambassador to Kuwait, and His Excellency Faris Mohammed Al Mutawa, the Secretary-General of the UAE National Olympic Committee.
