His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, is set to inaugurate the 26th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) tomorrow, October 1, at 9 AM. This prominent event, organized by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) under the theme “At the forefront of sustainability.” The exhibition runs from October 1 to 3, 2024.

WETEX 2024 will feature approximately 2,800 companies from 65 countries, showcasing their latest innovations and projects across various sectors, including energy, water, green development, sustainability, decarbonization, green mobility, green hydrogen, cybersecurity, digitization, sustainable cities, and green buildings. The event will also highlight 21 international pavilions, representing diverse innovations from around the globe.

In addition to the exhibition, WETEX will include several key components such as the Green Mobility Hall, the Future Energy Landscape Forum, and the Health and Safety Hub. DEWA has arranged a series of seminars and discussion panels featuring global experts and specialists who will address pressing topics aimed at shaping a more sustainable future.

The event will also facilitate numerous meetings among companies, government entities, private institutions, and investors through its Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Government (B2G) platforms, fostering collaboration and partnership opportunities.

WETEX 2024 coincides with the 10th World Green Economy Summit (WGES), taking place on October 2 and 3, 2024, at DWTC. This summit is held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and is organized by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy (DSCE), DEWA, and the World Green Economy Organization (WGEO). The WGES 2024 will focus on several critical thematic pillars, including decarbonization and net-zero goals, advancements in clean energy, climate finance, the circular economy, policy and regulatory frameworks, leveraging technology to combat climate change, youth involvement in climate issues, and strategies for sustainable food and water management.

This year's WETEX and WGES promise to be pivotal events in advancing discussions and actions towards a sustainable future, reinforcing Dubai’s commitment to being a leader in green initiatives and environmental stewardship.
