His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has taken decisive action following the recent fire at the Sharia Market in Al Dhaid. The blaze, which occurred on Thursday, devastated the market and displaced numerous businesses.

In response, Sheikh Dr. Sultan has instructed the Initiatives Implementation Authority, known as "Mubadara," to urgently arrange for alternative premises for the affected businesses. The directive mandates that these temporary stores be established within three days, complete with all necessary furnishings, equipment, and air-conditioning to ensure the smooth continuation of business operations.

Furthering his commitment to recovery, Sheikh Dr. Sultan has ordered the construction of a new, permanent market to replace the destroyed one. This new market will feature over 60 concrete stores, a significant upgrade from the previous structure made of palm leaves and consisting of only 16 stores. The new development is expected to provide a more durable and reliable commercial environment for the local businesses.

In addition to the construction of the new market, Sheikh Dr. Sultan has mandated the relocation of the affected store owners to the new premises. To aid in their recovery, substantial financial compensation will be provided to cover their losses. This comprehensive plan was announced during the "Direct Line" program, aired on Sharjah Radio, reflecting His Highness’s dedication to supporting the community through swift and effective measures.
