Sharjah, 18 October 2025: The Government of Sharjah successfully concluded its participation at GITEX Global 2025, one of the world’s leading technology events, where it presented an impressive array of innovative digital initiatives under the theme “Powered by Tech, Driven by People.” The Sharjah Pavilion offered visitors interactive experiences, live demonstrations, and insights into how cutting-edge technology is being harnessed to improve quality of life, streamline public services, and design government solutions centred around citizens’ needs.
This year, 20 government entities participated under the Government of Sharjah Pavilion, collectively presenting 14 pioneering projects that reflect a unified approach to digital transformation. These projects highlighted the emirate’s commitment to innovation as a foundation for sustainable development, aligning with the UAE’s national strategies and long-term vision for smart, future-ready cities. The pavilion served as a model of intergovernmental collaboration, demonstrating how technology can be leveraged to create meaningful impact for residents and businesses alike.
Honouring Excellence
During the closing ceremony, H.E. Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director General of the Sharjah Digital Department, and H.E. Eng. Lamia Al Hosan Al Shamsi, Director of SDD, honoured participating entities, partners, sponsors, and organising committees in recognition of their exceptional contributions to the success of the pavilion. The event was attended by senior officials and representatives from across Sharjah Government entities, celebrating the collaborative spirit and innovation showcased at GITEX.

Best Project Award: AgriHub by the Department of Agriculture and Livestock
Second Place: Bo’d by the Department of Public Works
Best Exhibitor: Sharjah Cyber Security Center
Community Award: Nabni project
Best Participating Entity: Sharjah Police Headquarters
These awards underscore Sharjah’s dedication to fostering excellence in digital governance, technological innovation, and community-oriented solutions.
Strategic Collaborations and Future Initiatives
Alongside the exhibition, the Sharjah Digital Department engaged in a series of strategic meetings with leading local and global technology companies, aimed at expanding cooperation, exchanging expertise, and exploring new avenues to leverage advanced technologies in Sharjah’s digital transformation journey.

Microsoft: Discussions on future projects to enhance Sharjah’s digital infrastructure with secure, scalable, and resilient solutions.
Red Hat: Exploring opportunities to drive innovation and enhance digital performance across government entities.
ServiceNow: Developing a unified, AI-powered platform for managing government IT services.
Dynatrace: Reinforcing collaboration to integrate advanced application monitoring technologies across Sharjah’s key digital platforms, ensuring reliability, agility, and continuous service delivery.
These partnerships reflect Sharjah’s proactive approach to strengthening its technological ecosystem and delivering next-generation services that anticipate and meet the needs of residents and businesses.

Throughout the exhibition, the Government of Sharjah Pavilion attracted significant attention from VIPs, industry experts, and the public, showcasing projects across four integrated digital ecosystems:

Each ecosystem exemplified the power of integration among government entities, highlighting how Sharjah leverages advanced technologies to improve public services, foster sustainability, and create people-centric smart environments.
The projects presented were built on state-of-the-art technologies, including artificial intelligence, data analytics, IoT, and geospatial solutions. Their objectives were to:
