Her Excellency Ohood bin Khalfan Al Roumi, the Minister of State for Government Development and the Future, recently visited the Sharjah Government Pavilion at GITEX Global 2024, where she explored a range of innovative initiatives aimed at driving digital transformation across government entities.
On the fourth day of the event, the pavilion showcased several technological advancements designed to enhance service delivery in Sharjah through the integration of artificial intelligence and innovative solutions.
Among the key highlights was the launch of the "Mada" platform by the Sharjah Digital Department. This groundbreaking platform is intended to unify and manage spatial data from various government entities, significantly improving decision-making efficiency and the overall quality of services provided to the public.
Additionally, the Sharjah Digital Department introduced version 2.0 of the "Sharjah Digital" platform. This upgraded version boasts an enhanced user experience with a fresh design and advanced functionalities. Noteworthy features include the ability to rate services, multiple payment options, and improved access to various utilities and public services, all aimed at streamlining user interaction.

The Sharjah Police General Command also unveiled a virtual platform to highlight its latest innovations. One of the standout features is an artificial intelligence tool specifically designed to detect and report incidents of cyberbullying, contributing to a safer digital environment for the community. Furthermore, the "Smart Education" project employs AI to enhance community security awareness, reflecting a proactive approach to public safety.
These initiatives collectively demonstrate the Sharjah government's unwavering commitment to embracing cutting-edge technology as a means to modernize its digital infrastructure and enhance the quality of government services available to its citizens.
