Sheikh Khaled also talked about how the UAE has become a world leader in aviation. He mentioned how the country has made major investments in airports, technology, and partnerships with other countries. This has helped the UAE become known worldwide as an important place for aviation. He also spoke about how the country is focused on making aviation greener by using new technologies to help reduce pollution.
The Chairman also shared that for the UAE to continue improving in aviation, the laws, rules, and technology must keep changing. He said that improving the skills of workers and making sure they are ready to face challenges is key to making the UAE's aviation sector even better.
At the event, the Crown Prince saw a presentation about the new training centre, which offers programs to train air traffic controllers and other aviation workers. The centre has the latest technology to help students learn better and be ready for jobs in aviation.
Sheikh Sultan also thanked people who helped make the centre happen and gave them a special gift to show appreciation. Afterward, the Crown Prince toured the centre, which has special rooms, simulators, a library, and a café. The centre has been approved by the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority, meaning it meets all the rules for training aviation workers.
One of the highlights of the centre is a special simulation system that allows students to practice managing air traffic, just like in real airports. The system can simulate different weather and emergency situations, making the training as realistic as possible. It helps students learn how to talk to pilots and other workers in the airport, just like they would in a real job.
The Crown Prince also met Maryam Al Hammadi, who is the first female air traffic controller in the UAE. She graduated from the Sharjah Airport Professional Training Centre and now works in the Sharjah Civil Aviation Department. She told the Crown Prince about the important work air traffic controllers do in guiding airplanes safely.
The Crown Prince then visited the classrooms, which can hold over 100 students. Students from the UAE and other countries can come to the centre to study and learn new skills in aviation. The training programs include air traffic control, aviation security, and general aviation. The centre uses advanced equipment to help students learn in both practical and theoretical ways.
The centre also helps train people who work in airport security, like customs officers and airport police. They learn how to use special tools to keep airports safe.
The Sharjah Airport Professional Training Centre offers many courses to help grow the skills of those working in aviation. The training is taught by experienced teachers, and the students use the latest equipment and technology. The centre aims to create a workforce that is skilled, knowledgeable, and ready for the challenges of the aviation industry. The centre also supports efforts to hire more Emiratis and welcomes students from different countries, making it a diverse place for learning.
The opening event was attended by many important people, including Sheikh Khaled bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Ports, Customs, and Free Zones Authority, and Sheikh Faisal bin Saud Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah International Airport Authority. The event was a big step for the future of aviation training in the UAE.
