Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the esteemed Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, has issued Administrative Decision No. (5) of 2024, a significant decree delineating the establishment of the Board of Directors (BOD) for the Sharjah Sports Club (SSC). The directive, a testament to the prince's commitment to enhancing sports governance within the emirate, outlines a structured framework for the club's leadership.
Per the stipulations of the decision, the newly formed Board of Directors for the Sharjah Sports Club will be chaired by Khaled Issa Mohammed Abdullah Al Midfa. Assisting him in steering the club towards its objectives will be a distinguished panel of members, including Ibrahim Mohammed Rashid Al Jarwan, Suleiman Abdulrahman Abdullah Ahmed, Tariq Jassim Mohammed Hamad Al Midfa, Mohammed Abdullah Mohammed Ali Burhaima, Mohammed Obaid Mohammed Al Hasaan Al Shamsi, Mohammed Ali Jaber Saleh Al Hammadi, and Nasser Saeed Ibrahim bin Afshan Al Mansouri.

The directive emphasizes that the board will convene to distribute administrative responsibilities among its esteemed members during its inaugural meeting. Each member will serve a tenure of four years from the date of the decision, with the possibility of extension for similar periods, reflecting the commitment to continuity and stability in the leadership of the Sharjah Sports Club. Notably, the board will continue to discharge its duties until the appointment of a new board, with provisions for reappointment available to members upon the expiration of their terms.
This administrative decision underscores Sheikh Sultan's unwavering dedication to fostering excellence and progress within the realm of sports in Sharjah. By establishing a competent and diverse board, the prince aims to uphold the club's esteemed legacy while driving it towards new heights of success and accomplishment in the realm of sports.
