The Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club is preparing to open its 2025–2026 horse racing season on Sunday. This marks the beginning of a new and exciting series of races that many fans across the UAE look forward to every year. The opening race will be the first of six races scheduled to take place at the Sharjah track during this season. The atmosphere is expected to be lively as spectators, horse owners, and racing professionals gather once again to enjoy the thrill of competitive racing.

The club has also confirmed the dates for the remaining five races of the season. After the opening event, the next races will be held on 23rd November, 21st December, and 28th December. The excitement continues into the new year, with races scheduled for 18th January 2026 and 25th January 2026. This clear and organised schedule allows trainers, jockeys, owners, and fans to prepare for each race and enjoy the season fully.

Horse racing is one of the UAE’s most popular sporting traditions, and each season draws strong participation from local and international owners. The nationwide racing calendar for the UAE includes 63 races, taking place across the country’s five main racecourses. This wide calendar shows the strength and growth of horse racing in the UAE and the passion that continues to surround this sport.

Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club is known for its important role in promoting and supporting horse racing in the UAE. Every year, the club attracts new and experienced owners, trainers, and jockeys. Its track is recognised for its strong organisation, fair competition, and commitment to supporting the development of the sport. The club also works closely with horse breeders and racing authorities to ensure that each season runs smoothly and maintains the highest standards.

According to Sultan Mohammed Khalifa Al Yahyai, the Director-General of Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, all technical and administrative preparations have been completed. He confirmed that the team has worked hard to prepare the racecourse, the facilities, and all required services to welcome spectators. His statement shows the club’s readiness to host another successful racing season.

The racecourse is expected to welcome a large number of fans, including local residents and visitors who enjoy following horse racing in the UAE. Many families, racing enthusiasts, and professionals are expected to attend the opening race. The club’s management has ensured that all arrangements—from seating to safety measures—are ready for the public. Their aim is to provide an enjoyable and comfortable experience for everyone attending.

The 2025–2026 racing season in Sharjah comes with high expectations. With multiple races planned, strong participation from horse owners, and a well-prepared racecourse, this season promises excitement, competition, and memorable moments. As the opening race approaches, the anticipation continues to grow among fans who eagerly await the start of another thrilling chapter in UAE horse racing.
