Saturday Night Live UK Version to Air in 2026

The famous American comedy show Saturday Night Live (SNL) is coming to the UK. The new UK version will start in 2026. It will have British fun-makers, actors, and show stars.

SNL is known for its funny short plays and jokes. The show helped many stars become famous, like Eddie Murphy, Will Ferrell, and Tina Fey. It first started in 1975 and has now completed 50 years.

Many famous people have been on the show, including singers, movie stars, and even leaders. A big moment was when Donald Trump came on the show before he became US President.

The UK version will be made with help from Lorne Michaels. He is the person who started SNL in America. A UK team called Universal Television Alternative Studio will do the main work to make the show.

This is not the first time SNL has been shown in other countries. In 2017, France had its own version called Le Saturday Night Live, but it only lasted one season.

SNL has also been made into a movie. The film was called Saturday Night and it had Spider-Man actor Willem Dafoe in it.

The new UK SNL will be shown on Sky Max and NOW in 2026. The people who will act and host the show have not been shared yet. More news will come soon.
