Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has recently signed nine important agreements with some of the top property developers and free zones in the city. These agreements are designed to help improve how infrastructure projects are planned and managed in Dubai, making sure that they follow the best standards and safety rules.

The main goal of these agreements is to create a single platform that will make it easier to approve infrastructure projects. It will also help manage activities along public roads and in the areas where roads are built, known as the "right-of-way." These agreements will not only help make road safety better, but they will also improve the quality of services and ensure that all development projects meet the high standards set by the authorities.

RTA’s goal is to continue maintaining world-class infrastructure along the right-of-way in Dubai, including areas where new developments and free zones are taking place. This effort is part of RTA’s larger plan to protect the city’s urban landscape while making sure the roads, public spaces, and pedestrian paths work efficiently and sustainably. The RTA follows global best practices to achieve this.

The cooperation agreements were signed with some of the most well-known property developers and free zone authorities in Dubai. These include Emaar Properties, DAMAC Properties, Majid Al Futtaim Properties, Nshama, Al Futtaim Properties, Dubai Multi Commodities Centre, Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai Investments Park, and the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority.

Bader Al Siri, who is the Executive Director of Right-of-Way at RTA’s Traffic and Roads Agency, explained that these partnerships are part of a big plan to make managing Dubai’s roads more efficient. The new agreements will make it easier to plan and carry out strategies for the city’s road network. He also mentioned that these efforts will help improve traffic flow and make roads safer for both drivers and pedestrians.

Al Siri praised the teamwork between RTA, developers, and free zone authorities, saying that it shows how important it is for everyone to work together to make Law No. (4) of 2021 work. This law regulates the roads in development areas and free zones in Dubai. He emphasized how important it is for RTA to collaborate closely with its partners to keep improving the efficiency and sustainability of the city’s road systems.
