Many US Workers Fear Losing Jobs to Tech in 3 Years

A new survey was done recently between June 9 and 22, 2025. It asked 3,510 working professionals in the U.S. if they think artificial intelligence (AI) will affect their jobs. The answers show that a large number of workers are worried.

• 74% of the people said that AI will impact their jobs in the next three years.

• Only 26% think their jobs will be safe even when AI is used more in offices.

The time people think it will take for AI to change their jobs depends on their experience:

• Workers with over 16 years of experience think AI will take over their roles in about 2.3 years.

• Those with less than 2 years of experience believe it will take around 3 years.

• On average, most people expect AI to impact their job in 2.8 years.

Some big companies think AI will be used fully in different time frames:

• Salesforce: 2.3 years

• Google: 2.5 years

• Microsoft: 2.6 years

• Uber: 3.2 years

• PayPal: 3.3 years

Are Jobs Already Changing Because of AI?

Yes, many workers already see AI affecting their daily work.

• 43% of workers said that some of their job duties are already gone because AI is doing them.

• 23% said their offices are talking more about AI and its effects.

• 30% have not yet seen any changes.

Which Jobs Are in Most Danger?

Experts say AI could replace over half of the tasks done by beginner-level workers. Some of these jobs include:
